Dear UWC alumnus,

 

Greetings from Li Po Chun UWC! As Hong Kong gradually shifts towards a post-pandemic social context, we are actively seeking opportunities to re-engage with the community in meaningful ways. One such engagement is a 2-hour collaboration with a local primary school, for which we hope to work alongside alumni volunteers and interact with local children from humble backgrounds.

 

Many of these children do not enjoy the same privilege of diverse experiences as their peers. Our main aim is to increase their exposure to different people and environments, thereby motivating them to understand the world at large and seek wider opportunities for themselves.

 

As a volunteer, you will help:

• run simple games/activities (alongside and independent of) current LPC students;

• lead small-group campus tours; and

• help students with language difficulties if needed (i.e. translate for non-Chinese-speakers)

 

The activities will take place on campus at LPCUWC. If you are interested and available to help, please complete this form.

• Briefing (on Zoom / in person): Friday 7 January 2022, 15:00-16:00

• Actual event (in person): Friday 28 January 2022, 14:45-17:15
